Ascension Question - Guild Wars Forums

I was jst wondering whether I have to ascend in our characters native continent. Because i have completed the building the base quests/quests in elona with my sin ( i just came over before any mainland stuff) and i still can't change profession.

/wants a derv secondary

You should be able to change profession in the Command Post :s

Yes, you have to ascend on your native continent before you can change professions at the command post.

Awwww that is what i was afraid of, i havent done any of the canthan content :S

You can ascend in either Tyria or Cantha. It doesn't actually have to be the native land of the character's origin.

For Elona, it's building the Command Post that seems to trigger Ascension.

ok here is a screen shot showing me not being able to change proffesion while i have done the base quest, (i'm up to a hero shall lead them). Is this a bug?

Have you finished all three command post quests, and reached the rank of sunspear general?

Not really sure what triggers it in Elona
